certainly seem to want what I can't have at the moment... I paint
January in June and April in January. My general attitude in life
spills over into paintings :-)
Even though I love winter, it still evokes strange and somewhat depressing
images in my mind. January for me is a lonely Soul, looking into windows
of somebody else's house filled with happiness and love. I think January
might be a collective image of all those who want to be happy but
happen to be continuously deprived of any chance of it - be it by
choice or circumstance.
